by

Under the patronage of His Majesty, King Abdullah II – the MENAICT Forum is the regions annual ICT industry event here in Jordan. If you have been following my blog since it started in 2010, you’d be able to tell that YES, for the 3rd year in a row I take pride in being able to attend and help spread the word live during the event.

Now if you are able to attend yourself, here are 10 reasons you seriously don’t want to miss this years Forum!

10 – It has the coolest date ever…. November 12 & 13 2014! Because ditching work or school on a Wednesday and a Thursday isn’t cool enough!

9 – This year’s theme is epic! Disruptive Technology! We live in a world where technologies are no longer about being innovative. It has become a basic need for human beings to be connected through various technologies that change the existing markets without much of a simple notice.  Whether it’s about embedded sensors in medical care or alternative energy technologies to sustain our favorite gadgets, you get to hear all about it at this phenomenal event.

8- Fewer Speakers; More Topics! Last year’s MENA ICT was both fascinating and overwhelming; with 105 speakers offering their thoughts via multiple panels there was so much to offer and so little time. This year’s focus will be on fewer speaks and more time allocated for more focused session within this years theme.

7 – A true celebration of technology! This year’s MENA ICT will not only focus on panelists, but will include presentations, debates, and more interaction with the attendees promising a unique experience.

6 – The luxury of attending world renowned forums such as the MENA ICT is great – and what’s great is the reduced prices for attending. Attendance fees for the forum have never been more accessible with as little as JD 200 per person (around $280).

5 – Being a student doesn’t make you less tech savvy than those who want to attend, and because we like investing in our youth and their intellect beyond the curriculum, the MENA ICT committee is offering further discounts for students.

4 – Interesting Topics that tailor to everyone’s tastes and interests including but not limited to: Next Generation Mobile Networks, Smart Cars, eHealth, eGovernment, Energy Efficiency, Crowd Funding and much more!

3 – The MENA ICT isn’t just about the speakers, it tells the stories and discusses the trends that we want to hear about through the eyes and words of thought leaders. You can access a list of the speakers here.

2 – If you aren’t Jordanian and you are flying in for the forum, you get to enjoy Jordan that has the lowest point on earth, one of the 7 wonders of the world, walk through the river where Jesus was baptized and more. Click here for 6 Reasons you should visit Jordan.

1 – Location…Location…Location! I was an ambassador at the MENAICT 2010, and I must say the Business Park is indeed my favorite venue for the event (yes I do think it beats last year’s lowest point of earth venue at the Dead Sea).
