Petra Guest House Review
Visiting Petra anytime soon? Allow me to recommend a stay at Petra Guest House. Managed and Operated by the International Hotel Group (IHG) in Jordan, it is strategically adjacent to the Petra Visitors Center and the entrance to the ancient city.
The elegant boutique hotel is built above and around some 2000 year old caves, and even has the cave bar where you can have dinner among the caves or catch a drink or sheesha with friends.
The hotel as a total of 72 rooms, of which 31 are chalets tucked in stones. We enjoyed our stay in ours to say the least. The cozy hotel has one lobby, one dining restaurant, and a fully equipped business center for those who need to conduct work. Business services include copying, courier service, high speed internet access, typing, or translation.
Spacious and clean rooms, top notch service from very friendly, courteous, and attentive staff members; the hotel also offers free parking (and WIFI – I know you want to share those pictures online) for guests who drove down to Petra and the reception can also arrange for your Petra by Night Tour (Read all about it here).
The hotel offers a delightful breakfast and has a live omelet and pancake station that will be much needed to fuel your energy for a hike across the lost city. A wonderful buffet is served at night opposite the cave bar for dinner where you can enjoy various mezzes as well as Jordanian and International food under twinkling star and breathtaking views of the mountains.
