For someone that is not tech savvy writing this blogpost gives me one of those shivers that say what if…what if the readers thinks she’s gone wacko or something, but the thing is this is probably going to be my first and last blogpost regarding technology but the reason I have been able to push my fingernails to jam across my keyboard would be the launch of the Galaxy SIII phone about an hour ago.
As a proud Galaxy SII owner, I swear by the phone, seeing as I was emotionally attached to my Blackberry for three years, but well once you go Android you never go to other OS’s. Nevertheless, global Korean Electronic company Samsung, launched their latest Galaxy S phone, the Samsung Galaxy SIII and here is why I fell head over heels in love with the phone that is said to be released in Europe on May 29th.
The phone has a 4.8-inch, 720 HD display and an 8 MP rear-facing camera. It will run on LTE and HSPA+ networks, Samsung announced at the Unpacked Event in London.
The Galaxy SIII which is said to be the world’s most human phone is influenced by nature, comes with 6 sensors and includes voice improvements from the Galaxy SII and newly introduced eye tracking movements making the phone much easier to use.
The S Voice feature is a natural user interface that allows used to tell their Galaxy what to do, set the alarm, snooze the alarm, wake up the phone by saying “Hi Galaxy”. The S voice can also be used to play your favorite songs, put the volume up and down, send text messages and, even active your camera.
A feature I will fall in love with once I get my hands on my very own Galaxy SIII would be the Smart Stay, sometimes when I am reading articles on my phone, it kills me that the lights go dimmed and off because it’s been idle while I’m browsing, but the Smart Stay feature with the Galaxy SIII recognized eye movements and hence will keep a bright display without interruptions like going idle.
Then comes the Galaxy Beam feature, reminds me of the release of the Galaxy Beam back in the World Mobile Congress a few months ago, the SIII “S-Beam” combines Wifi, NFC Technology which in English allows you to share content from your phone with others by simply being each other, as well as wirelessly mirror the SIII on another device such as a TV or a projector.
Like the S II, the S III will feature an 8-megapixel camera, it will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as its operating system, and will come in two color options — blue and white. That’s it for now, I can’t wait for more details of the device and for it’s launch in Jordan…It’s time for my Galaxy SII to have a partner, only difference is I’m crossing my fingers to afford it as a Birthday present for my husband. He’s been buzzed about it beyond words can describe tonight its going to be awesome.
