One of the most anticipated events of the year will be kicking off from the lowest point of earth in less than 12 hours at the Kempenski Deadsea, Jordan’s very own TedXDeadsea bringing together hundred of guests, awesome volunteers and thirty one speakers who will show the world what Education, Creativity & Entrepreneurship is all about.

My twitter feed has it’s fair share of tweeps who like my self are excited about the event, As Lina Abu Nassar Tweeted “The power of youth :) awesome youth is about to make a dream come true #tedxdeadsea where #creativity #innovation and ideas worth spreadin” @LAbuNassar

TedXDeadsea will kick off at 9:30 with the first session about Empowerment of Women. Speakers at this session include: Rula Al-Assi, Sandra Hari, Saja Maghshbeh, Muna Abu Sulaman, Rawan Ababneh, Amanda Hamati and Zainab Salbi. Both Saja Maghasbeh and Amanda Hamati are young singers, both 17 years of age, where they sing in Arabic and English respectively. The rest of the speakers are quite inspirational women from different walks in life, with one common direction in life, empowering women and making the bigger picture of our world a brighter, healthier place.

The Second session is dedicated to Jordan, called “The Future of Jordan” is bright, mainly student speakers will be speaking in this session including student representatives from the University of Jordan, University of Mu’tah, Tafila Tech University and more.

After lunch the third session is scheduled to be about Creativity in Education, where a group of professionals will be speaking about this very important factor in life. Afterall, education is an easy target for criticism because its stated aims are often so nobly ambitious that they have little chance of being realized. It should give us pause that so many people who have made their mark in the world of ideas, who have been acknowledged leaders and innovators, have held formal education and have gotten creative to become who they are today.

Last but not least, the fourth session will be about Star Entrepreneurs and finally the fifth session will be on creative minds. Both sessions sounds amazing and are packed with quite attention-grabbing speakers, and in Gods will, I hope I’ll be around to cover the last two sessions, seeing as I don’t plan on driving back from the Deadsea alone, so I might just head back home and just keep you posted with a summary of the sessions.

If you are not fortunate enough to attend the event tomorrow I recommend you tune into the Live Feed at http://www.livestream.com/tedxdeadsea and you can tune into Sleepless in Amman or Follow me on twitter at @larahadi for live updates from the heart of the event

Good Night Amman, tomorrow will mark a great day…
